Corona-II Glass Vase
NEW, LIMITED SERIES
One day in June, on perhaps the last blowing day of the 2024-25 season, Josh decided to experiment with another new idea. While Tucker and Zak fed a gather of molten Corona glass through the glass-roller, Josh picked up the resulting hot wafer and wrapped it directly onto a molten vase - made of clear, black, or New Mexico glass - while it was still on the pipe. Being in contact with a different molten material caused the Corona to change colors in dramatic and unexpected ways, creating patterns that are distinctly different from "normal" Corona Glass patterns.
NOTE: The "Corona-II" designation means that the glass is being used not in its original molten form, but instead in a second incarnation.
4.5" tall x 3.75” diameter
The polished base is signed Simpson and serialized 8.9.25
