Tektite Goblets originated as “Klingon Toasting Chalices,” commissioned for the Star Wars TV series. Unfortunately, the pair that was sent to be used never made it onto the set, because that episode was cancelled even before it was shot. So the goblets came back to the studio. Sad! But then, in 1993, the Corning Museum of Glass selected one of these for inclusion in “New Glass Review” Issue #14. That piece is shown on page 199 of the book, Josh Simpson: 50 Years of Visionary Glass.
