Josh is inspired by astrophysical concepts such as gravitational waves, dark matter, black holes, and the mysterious physics of light. In Spacetime Stellar Disks he explores ways to interpret and represent these energetic phenomena... in glass.
In this unique handblown plate, Josh abstracts the idea of Hyperspace, an alternate dimension (as yet still fictional) that can only be reached by traveling at or faster than the speed of light. Made of the artist’s signature Corona Glass with an overlay of fine white cane, with a delicate black lip wrap.
