The Unseen Work of Josh Simpson
Celebrating Josh’s 50 years of making glass, this exhibit features unusual Simpson Planets, from the first marble-sized spheres to a nearly 14-inch diameter “Sumo Megaplanet” weighing more than 120 lbs; classic early works such as flower vases, threaded and feathered vases, and Josh’s first experiments in iridescence; rarely seen and new works inspired by the artist’s fascination with outer space and astrophysics; and unique combinations that celebrate Josh’s use of color in glass.
